Lady is a 17-year-old dog that my husband and I adopted 6 years ago from a local animal shelter. She was adopted from this shelter as a puppy and then returned years later by the same family because she was too "old". Needless to say, my husband and I adore her and plan to adopt senior dogs in the future!
